Celebrate You

When was the last time you stopped and celebrated your accomplishments? Yes, celebrate you.

It is easy to dismiss your contributions, focus on and care for others, and forget about YOU. I know that as women, we are caregivers and nurturers at heart. We put the needs of others above our own. We celebrate others, but we seldom celebrate ourselves.

Let's face it: Not everyone will recognize your accomplishments, sis. In their eyes, what you do is either never big enough, impactful enough, or not worth recognition. They will also find a way to minimize what you do. Please don't wait for someone else's validation; it may never come.

Here's what you will do: validate yourself and say it with me: I love myself, am great at what I do, and am an asset. If you have not started today, please set a date, preferably today; you know how we can procrastinate (smile) and celebrate ourselves.

What does that look like? It can be as simple or elaborate as you want. You decide. Psst, you can do it by yourself, too. An ice cream cone, a walk in the park, retail therapy, a spa day, a movie night—something that says, girl, I am all of this and more.

God has made you unique and beautiful. Your gifts and talents are a gift and blessing to the world, so continue to do great things and, along the way, celebrate the wins—whether big or small. You deserve it.

Have an amazing day, sis.
